It’s been a record-breaking couple of months for Valve and Steam. Despite various other PC handhelds being introduced the Steam Deck still continues to see growing demand. Half-Life 2 recently saw its highest concurrent user count during an event. Now, Steam has hit new heights with an all-time high peak concurrent user count of over thirty-nine million.
As reported by Insider Gaming Steam saw record highs this weekend. The release of two major titles – Marvel Rivals and Path of Exile 2 saw the concurrent players count hit 39,205,447. Both Path of Exile 2 and Marvel Rivals have made it into the top five of the ‘Most Played’ player counts, according to SteamDB. That’s behind PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2.
To further solidify Steam and Valve’s GOAT status. Counter Strike-2 is still number one on the list of most-played games since its initial release in August of 2012. The game being Free-to-Play might contribute to its ranking as PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS(Also FTP) is in third place on this list.
