Black Friday is a massive shopping holiday event. Each year, the day after Thanksgiving is reserved for so many consumers worldwide to acquire incredible deals. Marketplaces slash prices and quickly move stock out of their inventory. While we’re waiting to see what deals might come out still for this year, it looks like Sony found their PlayStation 5 Black Friday deals leaking online.
Thanks to a report from PlayStation LifeStyle, we’re learning that reliable leaker billable-kun from Dealabs has unveiled what Sony has planned. This information is not official yet, and while it could be false, the insider has a strong track record. That said, some deals are coming to all the base PlayStation 5 console models. If this leak proves accurate, you might find it worth holding off from picking up the PlayStation 5 until November 22, 2024.
According to the leak, all the base-level PlayStation 5 consoles should see a price cut of about $70. That would be a nice little savings, and you could potentially use that money towards a video game for your new system. However, this deal is not permanent. Instead, you’ll find that the price drop will only be available until December 12, 2024.
That should hopefully move some more units this holiday season as more gamers adopt the platform for the latest generation. Of course, while this is a nice cut, we’re still eager to see if any retailers are looking to drop the price even more for Black Friday and the holiday season.
Meanwhile, the recently released PlayStation 5 Pro might be more appealing to those looking for a little more power under the hood. If that’s the case, you can view our Before You Buy coverage on the new model in the video embedded below.
