Red Dead Redemption Finally Confirmed For The PC Platform

October 8, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Continue the story from RDR 2 this month.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was a huge hit when it launched into the marketplace. It provided a prequel to the first game, and more importantly, PC players were able to enjoy this gameplay experience. Players watched as this ragtag group of outlaws attempted to carve out a piece of land for their own. Of course, the storyline had plenty of ups and downs. Ultimately, when the credits reached players, it was meant for players to continue on the storyline with the first installment.

While the first installment might have been a bit dated compared to the latest one, fans could see how the story wraps up. That was as long as you were not just a dedicated PC gamer. If you were on PC, it was tough luck! The game wasn’t ever released for PC despite fans’ outcry for a port. Now, those pleas are finally being answered as Rockstar Games confirmed Red Dead Redemption is coming to the PC platform later this month.

With Red Dead Redemption, players continue the storyline as John Marston, who finds himself against the law despite trying to turn things around. Players on PC can also expect some enhancements for the platform. These enhancements, according to Rockstar Games, include 4K resolution at up to 144hz, ultrawide and super ultrawide support, HDR10, and upscaling technologies. Players can even adjust their draw distances as they roam this open world.

Furthermore, if you’re already familiar with the game, you know it had a DLC release called Undead Nightmare. That DLC is being attached to this release as well, so you’ll get the full experience when it drops on October 29, 2024. In the meantime, you can view a trailer for the game embedded below. Likewise, you still have some time left to finish up Red Dead Redemption 2 if you haven’t already done so.
