Bethesda Softworks has announced today that the highly anticipated first-person stealth-action game Dishonored 2 will release worldwide on Friday, November 11, 2016. The game is currently in development at Arkane Studios and is a follow-up to the 2012 title, Dishonored.
The game will be out across PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms, Bethesda has stated.
Further details about the game will be revealed in the upcoming Game Informer exclusive cover story, which will be available online on May 7. The digital edition is currently available for purchase.
Additionally, the gameplay world premiere will debut at Bethesda’s 2016 E3 Showcase, which is being held on June 12 in Los Angeles at 7pm PT and streamed around the world live on YouTube and Twitch.
In Dishonored 2, players will reprise their role as the royal assassin Corvo Attano, or take on the role of Empress Emily Kaldwin, both of whom are skilled in the arts of assassination. As with the first game, players can sneak through the entire game, or murder everyone in their path. Both characters can combine a unique set of powers, weapons, and gadgets to traverse through the game’s missions, which offer a story that respond to the player’s choices.
