Call of Duty is returning this year with the Black Ops series. We have been slowly getting information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and we knew that the game will be showing up during today’s Gamescom ONL event. If you missed out on the actual showcase, here is what was highlighted.
During the Gamescom ONL, we received an extended look at the gameplay. With that said we know that we’ll have a brand new campaign, multiple game modes, and, of course, the iconic zombies game mode.
While we didn’t get multiplayer or zombies gameplay footage, the showcase was focused on the campaign, where we get a story set around unraveling a conspiracy set in the early 1990s. You can find the entire gameplay video from the campaign embedded below. So get ready for some new guns blazing combat. But of course, this is just a snippet of the actual campaign which we may see more of as Gamescom continues to roll out.
There is quite a bit of hype built up around this installment. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the first main installment to be released under Microsoft’s acquisition. This also means that players who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass will gain access to the game at launch.
Fortunately, we don’t have too much of a wait before we can get our hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The game will be released on October 25, 2024. However, while Microsoft now owns this IP, it doesn’t mean we’ll see the game exclusive to the Xbox console platform. Players interested can find the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 platforms.
