Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC Requirements Revealed

August 16, 2024 by Carley Garcia

No worries, it’s not too demanding.

Yesterday, Dragon Age: The Veilguard finally got a concrete release date: October 31, 2024. Along with a stunning new trailer, BioWare also revealed the PC requirements for the long-awaited RPG, and it looks like players with more modest builds will still be able to join in the fun this Halloween.

See the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Dragon Age: The Veilguard below:

MINIMUM

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64 bit Windows 10/11
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970/1650 / AMD Radeon R9 290X
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 100 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: SSD Preferred, HDD Supported; AMD CPUs on Windows 11 require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7

RECOMMENDED

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64 bit Windows 10/11
  • Processor: Intel Core i9-9900K / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700XT
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 100 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: SSD Required; AMD CPUs on Windows 11 require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7

Truthfully, the most demanding requirement is likely to be the 100 GB of available space required to download the game in the first place.

Last month, it was announced that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will include over 140,000 lines of dialogue, up from the 88,000 lines found in Inquisition. Additionally, the RPG will also include over 700 characters.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will take place ten years after Dragon Age: Inquisition and 22 years after the Battle of Ostagar, or the start of Dragon Age: Origins. The Inquisitor from the previous title will return in the upcoming game, with players able to customize their appearance.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 31, 2024. This is almost a decade after the release of the last game in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition.
