Among The Wild is a game that allows players to have their own farm that is actually in a world that consist of an island that houses many adorable mystical creatures. Gameranx had the honor of speaking with one of the developers of the game, Tim Badylak. Badylak shared about if the game will have multiplayer or not given many seemingly have already expressed wanting it for the game.
With the style of the game following under games like Stardew Valley or other multiplayer farming simulators, it makes sense why players think that the game should be getting multiplayer and asking that question. When asked about it, Tim stated:
“We totally understand that people see this as a potential multiplayer title and how fun that could be. For us the decision is mostly about what our current focus and ambitions are, and that is to create a strong single-player experience first and build upon that during early access. But hey we’ve been wrong before so we might change, but no promises though.”
Currently, there isn’t any release date yet for this new game, but players can go ahead and wishlist the game on Steam. There’s also a trailer gamers can view to see if this game would be something they are interested in playing.
