The buzz earlier this month in the 8th gen console world was that the PlayStation 4 is still outselling the Xbox One. No surprise, but we think Microsoft and its retailers are trying to change things up. Deals on Xbox One consoles are cropping up as April comes to a close. The latest and greatest being the Xbox One bundling in with 4K HDTV.

For the UHDTV deal, two retailers are on board: Dell and Antonline. Dell Home began selling the Quantum Break Bundle earlier this week with a 43-inch Vizio HDTV for $599.99 after coupon. That same HDTV alone is not a cheapo unit, and sells for $500 or more at major retailers like Overstock.com and Jet (a $25 purchase on Amazon right now).
The other hot offer is at Antonline. Right now on their eBay page the same Quantum Break Bundle comes paired with a 42-inch 4K Seiki HDTV for $489. Buying the Xbox One and the TV separatley at their best prices online would add up to $550, so here’s over $60 in bundle savings. Not to mention they only charge tax in Cali and Georiga, so if you don’t live in those states even more savings.
Now before you pick up any of these units, you’ll have to remember that while the Xbox One has no restriction on outputting 4K resolution in terms of hardware, most titles are in the 920p range, being upscaled to 1080p. So you’re not exactly going to get the 4K effect with the Xbox One. We’ll chalk these deal bundles up as retailer simply trying to offload an Xbox One with the latest TVs (after all, you probably already have a HDTV that may need replacing).
If the 4K TVs deals don’t entice you, Dell also has a great bundle deal for $299 with an extra free controller, saving you about $60. Or if you don’t mind buying certified refurbished, you can pick up an Xbox One with Kinect Bundle along with 5 free titles for only $279 (one of which is the pricy Halo 5 Limited Edition too).
