Diablo III Patch 2.4.1.36595 Now Live with New Buffs and Bug Fixes

April 26, 2016 by Nick Monroe

Damage buffs, Bug tweaks, and Cosmetic items await you in Diablo III’s new patch.

The latest patch for Diablo III just went live. Patch v2.4.1.36595 has various item and character tweaks, but if you’re looking for new content you’ll be pleased to know that a new Treasure Goblin is now in Sanctuary. Go have fun hunting down the Menagerist Goblin today! Also, a Cosmetics category was added to the inventory interface, along with several new cosmetic items for players to find.

For people who don’t care too much about this, what we can say for sure is that there are bug fixes of some kind. Blizzard is still hard at work on this game, they didn’t just call it quits a month after launching back in May 2012.

It’s been four years already. But even still, there are revisions and patches to be made. Small things you might notice are the Paragon point button being moved to prevent overlap, several new stash tab icons being added in, and a shadow being added to stack and charge counts on the hotbar and buff icons.

If you were curious about something specific for a certain build you’re playing as, I highly suggest you glance at the page over on battle.net.

For PC users, click here, while console users can inquire over here too. But if you want a summary of basic bullet points, I can help you out.

All classes received skill updates and/or bug fixes. Barbarians received tweaks to the Hammer of the Ancients and Ignore Pain active skills, while the passive skill Tough as Nails got a double damage bonus for their thorns. The Crusader‘s Akarat’s Champion skill now receives a damage bonus multiplicative with other bonus damage sources. Similar small changes were made to active and passive skills for the Demon Hunter, and the Witch Doctor. The Wizard gained a buff to their Archon spell, boosting damage and armor/resistance bonuses.

Highlights from the item tweaks include tweaks to Legendary Gems and damage buffs across TONS of class-specific items. It’s worth pointing out that Legendary potions can now be salvaged and will yield a Forgotten Soul, along with several existing class-specific Legendary items being updated to include Legendary powers, and numerous class sets have had power designs and updates.

Adventure Mode bounties have now been fixed to turn in the bonus act first. If the Plague of Burrowers was giving you trouble, you can now rest easy knowing that their health has been significantly reduced. Nephalem Rifts reduced incoming damage on Greater Rift 70 and above, but along with that the experience has been dialed back as well. Many Set Dungeons received an objective tuning.

For players who missed out on Diablo III since 2.4.0 came out in January, Gamespot did a great summary video on that.
