The Overwatch video game’s closed beta phase will end on April 25th. From there, Blizzard will be prepping the game for launch on May 24th. The official announcement had this to say:
Our sincerest thanks to all of our Closed Beta testers and everyone in the Overwatch community for participating in this critical part of the game’s development process. Over the past several months, you’ve shared tons of amazing feedback—and we’ve collected payloads of useful data—to help us balance, tweak, and fine-tune our heroes, maps, core game systems, and more. We hope you had a blast, and we can’t wait to fight alongside everyone on May 24.
There’s one more chance to play the game. An open beta period will run from May 5-9, and anyone who preorders the game by April 29th will get access to that Open Beta on May 3rd.
After the closed beta finishes on April 25th, the forums will remain open for that until the 29th of the month. Your progress made during the closed beta will not carry over to the open beta, nor will it transfer to the live version of the game when it releases.
