Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Dev Talks Keeping A Sense of Flow

January 8, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Devs are not concerned about labels.

There was plenty of hype built up around Rocksteady Studios’ next title. After their time with the Dark Knight, it wasn’t certain just where the studio would progress forward with. There have been plenty of rumors about what the studio was working on, but finally, we were given the grand reveal of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. This studio wasn’t done with the DC Comics universe and has adjusted its attention to the Task Force X team. However, fans were a bit skeptical of this game when it was unveiled to feature live service attributes.

We’ve seen some live service games thrive in the marketplace. However, we’ve also seen some titles fail to capture much of an audience at launch. For now, we’ll have to wait and see just how well players take up with the upcoming title from Rocksteady Studios. With that said, one developer is not keen on even using labels for the upcoming project. That comes from Darius Sadeghian, according to a report by Gamesradar. It seems that the studio product director for Rocksteady spoke with PLAY Magazine.

During their conversation, Darius noted that when the development started, it was the goal to bring players together and ensure a sense of flow. This goes across all the gameplay systems, whether it’s traversal, melee, or shooting. All of this needed to blend as players go through the game as members of Task Force X. If all goes to plan, the studio will have built a community that will be around for the long haul. Of course, to keep players logging in will require a series of updates to the title, which will hopefully mean new storyline missions, areas to explore, and other notable collectibles to unlock.

Furthermore, Darius noted that the studio doesn’t think of their games fitting with any particular label. So, it looks like the developers are trying to navigate through the live service tag stigma. At any rate, if you haven’t kept up tabs with Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the title will be made available next month. Players will assume the role of Task Force X as they are sent in to save the day from a brainwashed Justice League.

Currently, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is set to launch on February 2, 2024. You’ll find the game available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms when it is released. In the meantime, you can view a trailer for the game in the video embedded below. Meanwhile, there is some PlayStation 5 focused features for the upcoming game which you can read more about right here.
