Creative Assembly has released a new Total War: Warhammer video to welcome gamers to the Old World of Warhammer. It’s medieval times, and viewers will get to see a first look at the world in which the upcoming strategy game takes place.
Last month, the studios revealed the game’s fifth playable faction.
The Old World is home to the Empire’s many booming cities, the dark marshes of Sylvania, the arid Badlands and home to the war-hungry Orcs, the mountainous holds of the Dwarves, and the underways overrun by Greenskins.
The footage offers a look at the many locations in which players can wage war over, and conquer to expand their territory. All of the footage shown is rendered in-game, showcasing the graphical capability of the game’s engine.
Creative Assembly says it plans to offer more details on each of the game’s many environments to explain how the terrain will impact tactical battles and strategy in a series of upcoming videos.
Judging from what they’ve shown so far, there’s little doubt that the world of Warhammer will feel authentic to players of the tabletop game.
