April 13, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

Remedy Entertainment may not have a patch yet, but here’s a temporary fix for PC gamers.

released last week on April 5, 2016, and for the most part, gamers haven’t witnessed too many issues for the Xbox One version of the game. That can’t be said about the PC release, where gamers have reported a number of problems during extended gameplay. Today, the development team Remedy Entertainment has noted online that they are working on several fixes for the game and what PC players can do currently until a patch releases.

There are a number of different issues gamers have been running into on the Windows 10 platform. Some of these problems that pop up include random crashes and frame rate drops. While Remedy Entertainment noted that they are aware of these issues, they don’t have a particular release date for a patch quite yet. Instead, they only offer a quick temporary fix for how to address the performance issues gamers may have experienced after playing for an extended amount of time.

The fix may not be the most appealing for some gamers, but it works. Remedy Entertainment suggests that players close the game then reopen it. By doing this the game will fix the video memory fragmentation, something that is being looked into by the developers.

A new menu option is also in the works to allow gamers the ability to close Quantum Break from the main menu. Instead, players are currently forced into using the shortcut key combination Alt-F4 or move their mouse to the top right corner in order to see an exit icon.

These are just some of the noteworthy fixes that Remedy Entertainment is currently working on for the Quantum Break patch. If you would like to see the full detailed rundown of what’s to come for the video game on both the Xbox One and PC then you can check out the official post right here.
