SEGA and Creative Assembly have announced that the upcoming PC strategy wargame Total War: Warhammer will be available to the public to play at the upcoming PAX East, which is taking place in Boston from April 22 to 24. The studios are offering the public a hands-on opportunity to check out two new Quest Battles for the soon-to-be-released game.

Last month, the studios revealed the game’s fifth playable faction.

The game will be playable at booth #8109 from Friday to Sunday at 10am to 6pm. Key members of the development team will also be present at the booth to answer any questions visitors may have and give them a spirited walkthrough of the experience. There will be presentations showing off the new campaign and battle content, along with daily contests to offer fans a chance to play live on stage against others and win prizes.

If you’re planning to attend, you should definitely check out our two-part guide on winning Total War games.

Here are the two battles set to be demoed:

‘The Amulet of Sea Gold’ – Balthazar Gelt, Supreme Patriarch of the Colleges of Magic, leads his men beneath the rough stone lintel of the ancient barrow mound. He feels the shadows crowd in upon him. Creeping despair writhes the hearts of the warriors as they descend. While this is not necessarily an evil place, it is a place of death; the spirits within resent the presence of the living. Gelt has fought the Undead before; he looks to the men, demands valor and then begins to channel the Winds of Magic.

‘Sword of Unholy Power’ – In the south of the Badlands at the southern edge of the Old World lies a bleak desert and piercing up into the sky is the Pillar of Bone, an ancient arcane fulcrum revered by the Greenskins who live near it. A massive Greenskin slaughter has transpired near this sacred place providing the right condition for the Undead Count to bind the necromantic energy into an artefact. However, he must destroy this Goblin Shaman and his underlings before any Greenskin reinforcements arrive!

Total War: Warhammer is set for release exclusively on the PC on May 24, 2016.
