Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Weekend Two Beta Patch notes Unveiled

October 13, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Here’s what you need to know.

Call of Duty fans are waiting for that next major release to come out this November. We’re inching our way closer to the launch date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. However, you might be keen on at least trying this game out. Fortunately, there are beta weekends, which we just saw our first already come out. However, we’re now getting the second weekend for beta access, with the developers highlighting some changes made to the game. After all, these beta tests are a great way to check out the game while providing the development teams some insight into areas that require some slight tweaking before it’s ready for an official release.

Thanks to VGC, we’re finding out the patch notes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s second beta weekend has come out. For instance, players can expect two modes and maps for this beta. Players will get to go through Cutthroat and Search & Destroy game modes. Meanwhile, the maps featured will be Highrise and Orlov Military Base, otherwise known as Ground War. With that said, there are some general updates made to the gameplay mechanics and weapons. For instance, one of the changes is that enemy operators will feature a red nameplate above their heads. Several weapons were nerfed in this beta as well, which can be detailed below.

Weapons Class Nerfed

  • Assault Rifles: Decreased 17-26%.
  • Submachine Guns: Decreased 14-17%.
  • Light Machine Guns: Decreased 30-45%.
  • Marksman Rifles: Decreased 29-31%.
  • Pistols: Decreased 10-20%.

Then, of course, the developers were able to address some of the stability issues that had come up from the past beta. Hopefully, that means this second wave of players to try the game out won’t have any issues like crashes forcing you out of the game. But again, being a beta, you might still want to go in with the expectation of some issues popping up. Having issues pop up now is better than having them suddenly show up during the game’s actual launch. At least now, developers will get a chance to clear the issues up before the release.

With that said, we know PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms are able to go through the beta. However, Xbox and PC players are forced to have pre-ordered the game before they can gain access. Those who haven’t pre-ordered the game will find the beta available on October 14, 2023.
