DICE Studios Seeking Anti-Cheat Expert

January 31, 2012 by Lyle Smith

Dedicated entirely to implementing and managing anti-cheat measures

Gamespot is reporting that DICE, developer of Battlefield games, will be taking a stance against cheating in its games.

The company is now seeking an anti-cheat administrator to join their ranks at its office in Stockholm, Sweden. The position will be dedicated entirely to “implementing and managing anti-cheat measures” for its current and future titles and, according to the requisition description, the successful candidate will work to "secure the online experience".

The anti-cheat administrator will also be tasked analysing player behavior data in DICE's titles in so that its games’ leaderboards will be "filled with fair play."

Earlier this month, DICE has expressed contempt for cheaters when a developer said it was ramping up its anti-cheat measures within Battlefield 3 and encouraged players to report any instances of misconduct they experience.

I’m always glad to hear news like this since cheating can completely ruin a person's gaming experience, especially with titles that are solely used for online multiplayer.
