January 26, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new update for Minecraft adds a bunch of fixes and changes in addition to an all new mob, some items, and better AI.

There's no rest for the folks at Mojang as they continue to dedicate their time and resources to adding new stuff to Minecraft.

Today, the developer put up a new snapshot (that's technical jargon for 'update') for this week, which includes a bunch of new additions to the game. It's not a lot, but the incremental updates they add each week tends to add up.

In addition to bug fixes and balance changes, the update includes a new jungle-specific mob that can be tamed, kind of like wolves. Additionally, skeletons have new AI and new behaviors, there's a new flame item, and a new experience item in the game's creative mode.
