Alan Wake to Support 3D, Multi-Monitor Setups on PC

January 24, 2012 by Josh Harmon

A pair of teaser images from Remedy have revealed that the belated PC release has a few new tricks up its proverbial sleeve.

The PC version of Alan Wake might be two years late, but don't think of it as a ridiculously long delay that's left an entire segment of the gaming market out in the cold. Think of it as months and months of added polish time that enabled developer Remedy Entertainment to add in new features and sharper graphics.

And that's not just my hopeless optimism speaking. Today, Remedy posted a pair of teaser images confirming that the game will be getting two fairly impressive new features on PC: support for multi-monitor set-ups and 3D. Alright, so the post, entitled "Alan Wake PC is coming home in style!", isn't actually outright confirmation, but I'd say this is one of those times when a picture is, in fact, worth a thousand words.

Alan Wake was originally in development as a multiplatform title before publisher Microsoft pulled the plug on a PC release back in 2009. In December, Remedy announced that they would be self-publishing the game on PC through Steam. The developer most recently confirmed that the game would be available in February, bundled with the game's two DLC packs at no extra cost. Pricing details have yet to be announced.
