Bethesda’s Pete Hines has revealed that the studio is getting closer by the day to revealing its upcoming title, The Elder Scrolls Legends. The game has been described as a free-to-play collectible card game similar in vein to Blizzard’s popular Hearthstone.
Speaking on Twitter, Hines responded to a fan who teased that he would be spending a thousand dollars on Hearthstone cards unless Bethesda revealed something about the upcoming game.
“Yeah, I don’t really go for that,” said Hines, undeterred by the taunt. “We’re getting closer to talking about it and showing the game but not there yet.”

The studio had revealed The Elder Scrolls Legends in 2015 during its E3 press conference during the announcement of Fallout 4. The trailer, which they showed off, has nothing in the way of gameplay. It does however reveal some concept artwork of races from the Elder Scrolls setting, including Khajiit, Orcs, and the like.
The game is intended for release on PC and mobile platforms. Originally intended for a 2015 release, it was officially delayed to 2016. There’s a good chance we’ll see more of the game before or by the time E3 rolls around this year.
