Alan Wake to Haunt PC Gamers in February

January 21, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Remedy’s supernatural thriller is finally coming to the PC.

Fans of survival horror games can look forward to playing Alan Wake sometime next month. Remedy's supernatural title was originally released as an exclusive on the Xbox 360 is finally seeing release on the PC. According to the game's official FAQ, it will be released without the inclusion of Games for Windows Live.

The game will fully support Valve's Steamworks platform and can be expected to carry a number of visual improvements for the PC, over its Xbox 360 version with full support for keyboard and mouse controls.

The PC version of Alan Wake comes with resolution options, and customizability for anti-aliasing, FXAA, shadow quality, and draw distance. Additionally, both The Signal and The Writer DLCs are included in the PC version of Alan Wake.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but gamers can expect to pre-purchase on Steam as soon as the pricing goes up. Unlike the 360 version, it is being self-published by Remedy. There will be no demo of the game prior to its release.
