Oculus Rift Will Launch With These 30 Games

Game pricing and “comfort” level also revealed.

Oculus has confirmed the 30 games that will launch with its Oculus Rift virtual reality headset later this month.

Announcing the games at the on-going GDC, Oculus also revealed the pricing and “comfort” level of each titles. They launch lineup is as follows:

    12. Elite Dangerous: Deluxe Edition Intense $59.99
    13. Esper 2 Comfortable $9.99

Other games confirmed for the launch window include The Climb (Moderate comfort, $49.99), Dragon Front (Comfortable, free to play), Eagle Flight (Moderate comfort), and Edge of Nowhere. Each of these games will be available in the spring, and The Climb is specifically targeting an April launch.

The Oculus Rift is set for release on March 28th for $600 with orders being met as supply allows. A powerful computer is also needed to run the headset.

Yesterday at GDC, Sony announced that its own VR headset, PlayStation VR, will go on sale in October cost $400. A bundle including the PlayStation Camera and PlayStation Move controllers will also be made available.

Oculus founder Palmer Luckey has said PS VR’s price is “totally fair” but noted that Sony and Oculus are competing for different segments of the market.

For its part, Sony has confirmed that every PS VR it sells will make a profit.
