Platinum Games, the makers of Bayonetta and the upcoming Scalebound, are working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. Today, they’ve dated the game’s release for May 24 on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game was very heavily leaked before its official announcement.

Activision, which holds the rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is publishing the game. Today, the publisher released the game’s release date announcement trailer through IGN, which you can see below.

In TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan, players take on the role of the four turtles as they face the Foot Clan in its first assault on New York City, telling the origins of the clash between the two groups. The trailer also shows a few glimpses of Bebop, Rocksteady, and Armaggon. Players can expect other iconic characters like Krang to show up in the full game.

The game will be out two weeks ahead of the release of the next film entry, Out of the Shadows, which lands in theaters on June 3, 2016.

The previous TMNT title was released in 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PC, and bore the same title as the upcoming film. It was developed by Red Fly Studio and released digitally.

We’ll have more details on the upcoming TMNT title as more details become available.
