Halo Infinite’s Future Could Be Left Up To Fans Thanks To Xbox Research Survey

January 30, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Are you done with Halo Infinite?

The Halo franchise is a key IP for Microsoft. But the future for it might be a bit undetermined. It seems that the latest installment for the series might be getting ready to lose support. That might be drastic speculation, but a recent Xbox survey indicates that this installment’s future may be up to players. The survey asks participants point blank if they are done with Halo Infinite. If we get enough answers that suggest the community has moved on, it could mean Halo Infinite might be finding a successor installment sooner rather than later.

This survey being sent out was uncovered by Rebs Gaming on Twitter. The individual shared a few screenshots of this survey, and it looks like there is plenty of focus right now on what the future of Halo Infinite might hold. In fact, as mentioned, the first question alone asks participants if they are already done with Halo Infinite. They could answer either yes, no, or maybe. However, there are a few more survey questions that continue on, which again might be telling of what Xbox is considering.

For instance, Xbox is asking fans if they feel that 343 Industries, the development team behind Halo Infinite, is actively listening to the community and making changes based on their feedback. From there, we are getting some questions about what multiplayer game modes players would like to see returned from past Halo installments like Flood, Juggernaut, and Infection. So it does seem like there is interest in continuing the development of Halo Infinite and getting the community what they want for the game. However, at the same time, it might help showcase just how many players have moved on from the game.

Halo continues to be a massive IP for Microsoft, but there has been some concern about what its future holds. In fact, it was recently reported that 343 Industries would continue to develop Halo. At any rate, this is just a survey right now, so we’ll have to wait and see if there are any official statements made about the future of Halo Infinite and 343 Industries when it comes to developing more content for the game. If you haven’t already done so, Halo Infinite is available to be picked up on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Meanwhile, the multiplayer component is free-to-play.
