Nintendo Reportedly Restocking Select The Legend of Zelda Amiibo

January 4, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

You might not have to resort to the second-hand market.

Nintendo’s Amiibo line has been around for quite a few years now. These little toys-to-life figurines first got started on the Nintendo Wii U and slowly spread to the Nintendo 3DS along with the Nintendo Switch. We’re sure you’re familiar with these little toys by now, as they have proven to be popular across multiple games. While not directly tied to the Amiibo lineup, we’ve seen toys-to-life games thrive over the years with titles such as Skylanders. But for those of you who missed out on some of the Amiibo releases, acquiring them through the second-hand market can fetch a very steep price.

Amiibo’s first released as a means for players to collect. These little figurines were equipped with an NFC that allowed certain content to be unlocked within a game. Of course, not every Amiibo has a long shelf life, and as a result, certain figures can go for some decent money. The problem here is that players who simply missed out on the opportunity to pick these figurines up new can be left out of luck. Fortunately, if you’re missing out on some previously released Amiibo set within The Legend of Zelda franchise, you might be in luck. A new report is suggesting that Nintendo could be restocking this lineup.

News of the restock comes from the Nintendo Wire publication. They have noticed a French e-commerce website has started a pre-order for a variety of The Legend of Zelda Amiibo. This is likely set for the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Of course, we’ll have to wait for more official news to break from Nintendo on the matter, but this is what is apparently set to release into the marketplace.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – Zelda
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening – Link
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask – Link
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess – Wolf Link
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Link
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess – Link
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Link

Of course, there are bound to be some new figurines as well, with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom set to release later this year. At the moment, the game will hit the marketplace on May 12, 2023. Although, we’ll likely see more about this game and potential Amiibo during a future Nintendo Direct.
