KickAssTorrents, the popular torrent website, made its databases available to the specialists at TorrentFreak.com to determine the 50 most commonly searched terms for torrent downloads in 2011. Though it doesn’t include other major torrent database searches like Pirate Bay, it’s still very significant and is closest to an accurate figure as we will get.
The list is dominated by generic search terms such as language options (e.g. “ita”, “French”), video formats (e.g. "720p", “dvdrip”), movies, and TV shows. See the complete list below.
The most interesting part about the list is that there are no video game titles present. Not a single one. The only thing remotely gaming-related that appeared on the list was “PSP”. Just something to think about, I guess.
