Ubisoft has revealed details of its timed exclusivity agreement with Microsoft which will see Xbox One owners benefit from a 30-day window in which to play The Division’s first two paid DLC expansion packs.

The first expansion, Underground, is due for release on Xbox One in June with Survival set to launch during the summer. Microsoft’s deal does not cover the first add-ons for the game which are free. They’re set to be released in April and May.

You can find additional details of Ubisoft’s content plans for The Division over the first year here.

The Last Stand, the final paid expansion for the open world shooter, will be released simultaneously across all three platforms. Tom Clancy’s The Division launches tomorrow, March 8th, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you’ve already received a physical copy of the game on either of the consoles, you’ll be able to start playing right now.

Timed exclusivity agreements are becoming increasingly widespread and given the MMO-like nature of the game Ubisoft will need to ensure PC and PlayStation 4 players have a reason to keep playing for that extra month.

Tom Clancy’s The Division begins in Brooklyn before moving to New York weeks after the outbreak of a pandemic on Black Friday. The tactical sleeper agents of The Division are activated in a bid to restore order to the city, which quickly shut down due to a quarantine and the lack of basic services.
