Did you miss Saturday’s big game between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma Thunder? Never fear, as an NBA 2K16 fan has recreated the game winning moment with Stephen Curry’s amazing shot, in, of course, NBA 2K16.
#ICYMI, @Shady00018 recreated this amazing shot from Saturday’s game in #NBA2K16 https://t.co/3PD7114SHq
— 2K (@2K) February 29, 2016
As shared by 2K themselves, Stephen Curry’s final shot was a three pointer from a staggering 30 feet away, shot 0.6 seconds away from ending overtime. This gave the Warriors the win over Thunder, at 121 – 118. This shot also qualifies the Warriors for this season’s playoffs as early as February, one of the few teams to do so.
It was truly fitting that this one moment would be immortalized in NBA 2K16. This is not just because it’s the kind of playing that gives 2K Sports a hard time recreating Stephen Curry. Analysts are explaining how Curry’s shot is historically significant, both as a record breaker, and as a moment that could change the way basketball is played in the NBA and around the world.
You can watch the recreation video as well as a clip of the original shot as shown on TV below. Do you think Shady0018 did a good job? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
