Uncharted 4‘s seen its share of development hurdles over the past few years. After having all of its production scrapped when the series’ creators came onboard, no one could guess where Nathan Drake would adventure next.
There’s more to Uncharted 4 beyond its single-player campaign, of course. The game’s multiplayer mode is a huge draw for many PlayStation gamers, and the game is set to offer a full-fledged competitive multiplayer mode so as to not let them down.
Today, Naughty Dog has revealed that Uncharted 4‘s multiplayer beta will go live this weekend. Anyone who owns a PS4 will be able to log in to PSN and download the open beta and try it out firsthand. Though the studio has yet to make an official announcement about the beta, they’ve since launched an official page for the beta, which you can add to your library of games.
The beta is set to offer three maps for play in Team Deathmatch, with the servers going live this Friday. The beta will run from Friday to Sunday, March 6. The beta will give players a taste of the full game, though participants shouldn’t expect it to be perfectly balanced.
Some areas from the single-player campaign will be present in the multiplayer maps, so you’ll get an idea of where Nathan and his brother go to in the story.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will launch on April 26, 2016, exclusively on PlayStation 4. As Naughty Dog is not afraid to reiterate, this is the last adventure of Nathan Drake.
