Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Appears on Windows 10 Store

We’ve known for awhile that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, the remaster edition of Microsoft’s 2006 exclusive Gears of War video game by Epic Games, was going to release on the Microsoft Windows 10 platform alongside the Xbox One. However, we’ve been pretty much in the dark on when that would be. Now we have some clear indication that we’ll receive the game relatively soon thanks to an accidental listing was posted on the Windows 10 Store, which has since been taken down. Luckily, Windows Central has managed to take a few screenshots of the listing before it was pulled.

According to the post, the remastered edition includes enhanced lighting, environments, characters, and cinematic scenes. There are five additional campaign missions that follow Delta Squad as they battle through the Timgad Station, something that was not available when the game first released on the Xbox 360. Digital comic books based on the Gears of War universe can be unlocked. Multiplayer has been given a look over as well with the inclusion of all the previously released DLC maps along with newly added game modes such as Team Death Match and King of the Hill.

Furthermore, new Xbox Live achievements have been tossed into the game, support is included for both keyboard and gamepad controls, along with a new difficulty level for players to playthrough.
