Final Fantasy XIV Online, the version of FFXIV bundled with its expansions A Realm Reborn and Heavensward, has received another extensive update. Entitled The Gears of Change, it features a massive amount of new content including quests, dungeons, and modes.
Update 3.2, which goes live today, also adds The Hall of Novice, a new feature aimed at newcomers to the MMO genre, intended to acquaint them with the basics of the genre through tutorial quests and a mentor system that buddies them up with more experienced players. This is in addition to a new training ground called Stone, Sky, and Sea where players can the hardened experience they need to take on Legendary foes by practicing on dummies of similar strength.
Several new quests, two new dungeons, new crafting recipes and hairstyles and much more have been included in this update, which is so big it warrants its own trailer, which you can see above. Two weeks from now, a new PvP arena called The Feast will also make its debut, bringing with it a team-based competition to steal medals from opponents, with an individual player ranking system that will award prizes to the highest ranked players at the end of each season.
