When the 2022 reboot of Saints Row was first unveiled, the reception was mixed. There wasn’t a big overwhelming support for the project as fans felt the direction was going well off track from previous installments. Then when the game did finally get released, the reception was rather average. Players didn’t get the big hitter that the development team was likely hoping to launch into the marketplace. However, that doesn’t mean the studio has dropped support for the project. While it wasn’t the perfect release, an upcoming update will make a wide assortment of adjustments.
The development team took to the official Saints Row Twitter account to reveal that the update coming out for this game would arrive later within the month. According to the tweet, there will be hundreds of fixes, improvements, and new features. Although, we don’t have the full patch notes available to see just what is being tweaked when players update their version of the game. Despite not having the patch notes, we do have some areas highlighted by the development team.
For starters, there are a few cooperative gameplay fixes that should allow better connectivity along with correctly awarding all players. Speaking of awarding players, those of you who completed challenges or gathered collectibles but found the game didn’t register it, you should see those awarded retroactively. That’s not all either, as the development team, Volition, treated the in-game world to some new improvements. You should find more pedestrians and police roaming the game world, making the game a bit lively.
Then some new additions are included in the game, such as new garages across Santo Illeso, new district tiers, and a new voice pitch slider. But, again, this is just a sneak peek of what is coming to Saints Row, as we’re still waiting on the patch notes. We will get this update before November wraps up, and when the patch does make its way out into the game, the development team will release the complete set of patch notes.
Again, this latest installment for Saints Row wasn’t a massive success, but hopefully, enough patch updates and new content being added to the game will help turn things around. Currently, Saints Row is available to purchase for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. You can also check out our Before You Buy coverage of the game down below.
