In the past few years, Telltale Games have made quite a name for themselves making spin-off games for popular franchises, from Tales from the Borderlands to Minecraft: Story Mode, and of course the series that started it all, The Walking Dead. With their latest game they’re revisiting the zombie comic and television show with The Walking Dead: Michonne, a new miniseries that closes the mysterious gap in the sword-wielding heroine’s backstory.
This past Sunday, Telltale Games gave fans a sneak peek at the first episode, In Too Deep, with a livestream event on YouTube. Today they’ve posted the video of the event on their channel, allowing anybody who missed the stream to get all caught up on Michonne’s latest adventure. Check it out in the footage posted above.
As previously reported, the three episodes of The Walking Dead: Michonne will bridge the gap between the comics #126 and #139, a period in Michonne’s life that is depicted in neither the graphic novels or the TV show. She will be portrayed in the game by Orange Is The New Black actress Samira Wiley, as opposed to actress that portrays her on the AMC show, Danai Gurira.
The series will debut when In Too Deep launches digitally on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 for $14.99. The mobile release to iOS and Android devices will follow two days later on February 25. The second episode will follow sometime in March, with the third and final in April.
