Activision Publishing announced today that the previously reported tally of 3.3 million simultaneous users playing Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare 3 on Xbox LIVE on November 8, wasn't really even close to that number. Activision said that the correct number is 1.4 million simultaneous users.
Even though those numbers are substantially different, 1.4 million is still pretty good; however, last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops had 2.6 million unique gamers at one point.
