Mystery Ball hits the App Store today. It's $0.99 for opening weekend, and then it returns to the regular price of $2.99, so get it while it's hot.
Mystery Ball is an adventure/strategy game starring FRED, a lost ball with lots of psychological problems. FRED has to overcome his fears as he travels through a strange professor's experiment: 30 3D worlds that float high in the sky with an exit pipe that FRED has to reach to advance.
FRED suffers from aphephobia, the fear of being touched, acrophobia, the fear of heights and chronophobia, the fear of time. He has to defeat his chronic fears by collecting bravery badges that are strewn throughout each world while avoiding bad guys he calls "frenemies." Players set up each level in Mystery Ball with doodads, tools created to help FRED jump, speed up, slow down, and more.
Mystery Ball will sync with iCloud, so players can play the game across multiple devices without losing their progress.
Mystery Ball is the work of game developer David Howe, who created the art, game design and programming. Howe is a graduate of DigiPen and the creator of Curator Defense. Learn more about FRED, frenemies and doodads at the Mystery Ball website or the App Store.
