What Platforms Will Dead Space Remake Launch On?

September 2, 2022 by Dennis Patrick

Platform check!

Dead Space is an iconic survival horror franchise. For years we’ve seen fans hold this IP up in the limelight despite EA dropping the franchise. However, after fans pleas for this franchise to get a new resurgence, EA finally delivered. So we’re now getting ready to dive into the Dead Space franchise all over again. Although, this next video game installment is not a continuation. Instead, fans of the franchise will find Dead Space is getting a remake.

With the remake, fans will get a massive overhaul in terms of the game mechanics and visuals. So even if you’re a veteran fan who played the initial release back in 2008, this should hopefully feel like a new experience. Likewise, if you happened to miss out on the initial release, then this will hopefully give you just as thrilling of experience as those veteran fans had over a decade ago.

Although, you will want to make note that this is a mature survival horror video game. As a result, there will be quite a bit of blood, gore, intense violence, and strong language. So prepare for a terrifying experience as you navigate your way through the campaign narrative.

What Platforms Will Dead Space Remake Be Available On?

Dead Space fans have been itching to get their hands on a new game. Now, after years of waiting, it’s finally going to happen in early 2023. First, however, you best ensure you have got a supported platform available to play this game on. As it currently stands, the remake for Dead Space is only coming to current-generation platforms. In particular, Dead Space will be launching on the Sony PlayStation 5, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S, and the PC.

That shouldn’t come to much of a surprise. We’re moving away from the last-generation console platforms. This ultimately means that we’re going to see fewer games launch for the likes of the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One. Still, this might be some bitter news to hear if you’ve been holding out for this game on the last-generation console platforms.

Another aspect of why this might just be bitter to hear is the fact that we can’t get our hands on some of these consoles. There’s still a difficult time for some consumers in tracking down the likes of an Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or a PlayStation 5. However, you still have some time to secure one of these units before the game drops.

As a result, you’ll want to keep an eye out for restock notifications to grab a unit up in time for Dead Space’s release. While we wait for the game to launch into the marketplace, you can check out the game trailer embedded down below.
