Need for Speed: The Run Will Star Christina Hendricks

October 18, 2011 by Karol Sultanescu

Because you didn’t know that hot girls go well with cars that move fast, at least in games, I bring to your attention that NFS: The Run will feature Christina Hendricks as your virtual girlfriend.

You might know Christina Hendricks from Mad Men – you will get to see her motion-captured impersonation in the newest game in the long Need for Speed line as Sam Harper, the main character’s love interest.

Behind the wheel you get to be Jack Rourke, played by Sean Farris, which you might have seen in The Vampire Diaries and The King of Fighters recently. The main thing about Need for Speed: The Run is the fact that you actually play a definite character, which, while having been done before, it hasn’t been done in the way that you actually have out-of-vehicle chase sequences interweaved with the driving sections.

We shall see how that will do in term of gameplay and storytelling, but it’s definitely a novel idea in the series.

Black Box will release NFS: The Run on November 18th (15th in the US) 2011 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. A demo is out now on the Xbox Live Marketplace right now.
