It seems every time there is a firmware update for the PS3, people become frustrated. It doesn't matter if it's mandatory, if it contains new software or if it simply helps current software to run better, people will become wound up.
Usually I expect to see comments in the range of "You know, I just tried cross game chat and it still doesn't exist. WHAT GIVES SONY? I read on a forum that it was coming and now I'm buying an XBOX!!" First world problems, huh?
Well, those people will be happy to know that PS3 Firmware 3.73 is live for download, optional and, according the PS3 twitter account, means that "stability during use of certain PS3 format software has been improved."
No more information than that and no official post on the blog. Still, its nice to know improvements are being made, no matter how visible (or not) they are.
