Taking up the Halo mantle from Bungie, 343 Industries has announced plans for the upcoming Halo Anniversary to support Kinect, allowing players to use voice commands to reload weapons, throw grenades and mess around with the game’s built-in encyclopedia called the Library.
Through the use of voice commands (Siri, throw a grenade!) players can reload weapons, throw grenades, and switch between classic (read: ugly) graphics and the revamped visuals in the remake of Halo.
Additionally, players can now engage in Analyze Mode, which essentially turns the entire game into a series of collectibles. By saying speaking the word “scan” while aimed at a target, players can scan vehicles, characters, enemies and weapons into a newly implemented Library.
The Library can then be accessed and navigated through a gesture-based system with the use of Kinect.
Playing Halo will never have been more humiliating than screaming the word “teabag” in multiplayer. 343 Industries has the right idea with this one.
