#17 Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Ubisoft is big on giving players all sorts of experiences in both the first-person and third-person perspective. In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’ll get the FPS experience as you become a Na’vi within the world of Pandora and must fight to protect it while also learning all about it.
The Na’vi you control is captured and raised by humans, but eventually, you return to your kind and must adapt to the world around you. Through Na’vi’s eyes, you’ll explore, hunt, make allies with the local wildlife, and see the wonders that Pandora has to offer.
The game perfectly connects with the movies while telling its own tale! So look around and enjoy it all!
#16 Roboquest

Roboquest has quickly gained some attention online for a fast-paced FPS experience. This title might not be for everyone, but for those that it clicks with, you’ll probably spend some long gameplay sessions here. The game throws players into the future, where you’re mainly battling evil robots. However, it’s a roguelite experience where you never know what kind of level you’ll get into. Levels can be drastically different, but when you’re not blasting enemies away, you’ll have a wide range of weapons to choose from and customization options to make your character even stronger.

Shooters are arguably the gaming genre that has evolved the most over the years and for good reason. But sometimes you want to enjoy that “old-school-style” that started the genre in the first place. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is a title that does that in spades.
It exists within the established universe, but it also builds its own take on it with pixel graphics and ensures the blood is flowing with every bad guy you kill.
The gameplay is meant to be both stylish and deeply satisfying. So, no one will fault you if you enjoy killing everything in sight. Okay, maybe they will. But you’re a Space Marine! Who cares what they think?
#14 BattleBit Remastered

What happens when an FPS focuses solely on gameplay? It endeavors to give you the best gameplay experience possible. In BattleBit Remastered, the game puts you on a battlefield with up to 256 players! That means there’s going to be tons of bullets flying around.
But you won’t just be walking or running to your foes. You can jump into various vehicles to help you get around the battlefield. Plus, with 45 different weapons to choose from, you’ll have plenty of load-outs to pick to get the firepower you need.

#13 Metroid Prime Remastered

#12 Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077 might not have had the best reception when it landed in the marketplace. The studio needed to address plenty of problematic areas right on the first day. However, since then, the studio has turned things around for the video game, and fans are enjoying its only expansion. Phantom Liberty is not only the first expansion but the last to hit Cyberpunk 2077. Players will once again step into the role of V as the storyline is set within the base campaign. This storyline will add more content for players, such as a new area and additional NPCs to take quests from. Furthermore, as I’m sure you could have guessed, there are additional items to come across in terms of weapons, cyberwear, clothing, and vehicles.

The name alone is worth us putting it in this position, right?
The Payday franchise has delivered all sorts of big gameplay moments. Payday 2 was legendary for its DLC content and using it to make sure that the lore kept growing and the heists were even grander. Payday 3 is no different, we can promise you that. In this game, you’ll be put in a “living city” and be charged with taking on some of the most dangerous heists yet. So make sure you and your friends or allies are ready, because only through teamwork will you be able to pull this off.
#10 Arizona Sunshine 2

The VR space has been trying to bring bigger and more immersive titles to those who have headsets. So if you’re in the mood for a zombie-filled FPS venture in VR, you might want to try Arizona Sunshine 2.
The game will put you in the hot as heck state through the eyes of Fred. He’ll happily narrate his situation to you as you go across the various areas of the state to get answers to his questions.
But it won’t be easy, as you’ll have to get creative with how you kill the zombies you meet. After all, in games like these, supplies aren’t abundant. So use what you have to the fullest to survive!

You’ll once again don the engineering garb of Isaac Clarke and attempt to figure out what happened on a derelict ship to make everything go haywire. But this isn’t a simple murder mystery. There are monsters everywhere, and you’re underequipped to handle them.
You must use your engineering tools and whatever else you find to take them on and take them out. An intense third-person experience awaits you!
#8 Witchfire

Witchfire is a game that the development team, The Astronauts, has been working on for several years. If their name doesn’t sound familiar, this group delivered The Vanishing of Ethan Carter back in 2014. The game centered around a medieval dark fantasy. It’s here where players will be tossed into a period when humanity is in a battle against witches. Right now, the game is available to check out, but it’s still set in early access. So get your weapons ready and take control of the forbidden pagan magic, you’re going to need everything you got to take down these new hostile threats.
#7 Starship Troopers: Extermination

In this game, players will be one of the elite few chosen to take the battle on. Here you’ll get a cooperative FPS experience where you and some friends can attempt to eradicate a new bug problem. Team up, build up defenses, and, most of all, gun down the insects until they stop squirming. This game is currently in early access so you can expect some updates as the developers prepare for its full launch.

In the game, you play the lone survivor of a space station overtaken by a vile AI known as Shodan. Unfortunately, Shodan has gone rogue and turned the station’s inhabitants into monstrous cyborgs, intending to do the same with Earth.
Everything with the game has been overhauled while maintaining the OG title’s spirit. So take the title on and see where it leads you!
#5 Dead Island 2

Just when you thought the game wouldn’t come out, Dead Island 2 is available to check out today.
The long-awaited sequel from Deep Silver puts you in Los Angeles while it’s under siege from zombies. You’re trying to live wherever you can, and killing zombies is the best way to ensure you’re left alone.
You’ll travel through the city and find whatever weapons are around to take out the zombies. You can even use the environment to kill them, so you don’t have to get too close! However, you aren’t the only survivor in LA, so prepare to lend a hand.
#4 Atomic Heart

Set in an alternate version of Earth where the Soviet Union developed all sorts of robotics and scientific advantages during World War II, Atomic Heart shows us an image of paradise. But being that this is an FPS list, you know that things are going to go wrong. The robots that fill the world suddenly go after their creators, and those behind the scenes of the new Utopia have been doing horrific experiments that have created deadly mutants. This game will have you fight in an uphill battle as swarms of robotic beasts have all gone haywire. They don’t know fear or feel pain, so blast these things away as they charge in your direction.
#3 RoboCop: Rogue City

In many ways, RoboCop: Rogue City is a “power fantasy” for those who love this franchise. After all, you’ll get to become Robocop and defend Detroit from danger. What could be better than that?
Well, how about giving Robocop a whole slew of weaponry that can take down just about any criminal or robot you come across? That’s what we thought. While Robocop will have his classic Auto-9 within his leg, you’ll be able to get an upgrade other weapons to specialize your attacks and let loose with the carnage.
It’s all in the name of serving the public trust, right? That’s what we thought.
#2 Destiny 2 Lightfall

Are you ready to go somewhere new to try and save the system? In Destiny 2 Lightfall, one of the DLC packs for the game, you’ll head to a Cyberpunk-style city on Neptune to stop The Witness and his followers.
There are many new features to make this DLC special. For example, there are loads of new weapons to try and new Darkness-themed powers to test. Add that to new characters and enemies you’ll face, and you’ll have plenty to do.

While not the traditional type of FPS, there are elements of it in Starfield, and that adds more excitement to a game that players anticipated for years.
When it comes to Bethesda, they know how to make titles that will engage your desire for action while also ensuring that you have to think strategically as you go forth. In Starfield, the action will take you to the stars above and to numerous planets.
Whether you’re on a mission to get something done or fighting off pirates in deep space, the action can come in from all sides and at any moment. So you’ll want to equip your character with plenty of firepower to survive. Where will you venture to, what NPCs might request aid, and just what secrets does the universe hold? That’s yours to find out.
