Some of the games marathoners sped through were Pokemon Blue, Half life 2, Super Mario Maker, and Bloodborne. The event achieved $1.5 million raised last year, but even though this year’s total fell a bit short, it still garnered significant support and attention, at one time having 220,000 concurrent viewers. Almost 24,000 individual donors contributed to hit the $1.2 million mark, making this the third year in a row the charity has raised more than $1 million.
Super Mario Maker and Stepmania had the largest spikes in viewership during the event. More stats from this past week can be viewed on the charity’s website. Games Done Quick has another event set for July 3-9, in downtown Minneapolis, MN.
