Stunningly, Sony’s CES press conference has come and gone, and there was no announcement for PlayStation VR.

Expectations were high that Sony was going to make a grand unveiling for the gadget during the event. They previously announced they would be releasing PlayStation VR this year, and also indicated interest in non gaming applications. Their own promotion also seemed to hint at the same.

However, CES is a consumer electronics event more than a gaming event, so the company may have simply opted to reserve their reveal in a more gaming related function. It’s also possible that they’ll be showing it off later at CES.
These are what Sony did show off at their press conference:
· h.ear wireless noise cancelling headphones and earphones
· PS–HX500 Turntable that converts vinyl LPs to DSD
· Their latest HDTVs, digital cameras, Blu-Ray players, etc
· Ultra, a new Android based 4K media storefront embedded on their 4K HDTVs
