Star Wars VII’s Oscar Isaac Says He Was Fired From Dante’s Inferno

Oscar Isaac, the actor playing one of the main characters in this year's biggest sci-fi epic, Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens, says that he was fired from a "shitty" video game he was lending his voice to.

The actor, who plays X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron, says that he was providing his voice to the main character in Dante's Inferno. The game was developed by Visceral Games and EA and is widely regarded as one of 2010's worst games.

Speaking to Birth.Movies.Death, the actor believes he was fired because they didn't like his voice acting, but he says that it isn't something he loses sleep over.

"It was such a shitty game, though," said Isaac, who joked that he had "Force dodged" a bullet that would have no doubt hurt his career.

It's somewhat ironic that EA holds the sole license to develop and publisher Star Wars games outside of Disney, so there's a good chance Isaac will end up working with some of the same people should he voice his own character, Poe Dameron, in some future Star Wars game.

The publisher is currently developing unannounced Star Wars games. Developers Jade Raymond and Amy Hennig are reported to be involved. The publisher may also have plans to revive Star Wars 1313.
