This Fallout 4 Wearable Backpack Mod Scoffs At Invisible Pockets

December 2, 2015 by Carlos Chism

If this has been bothering you, you’re in luck.

Despite no official creation kit until next year, Fallout 4 modders have been hard at work improving and expanding on the vanilla game in a variety of ways. A Nexus Mods user named Aldebaran90 can’t stand invisible pockets in Fallout 4. If you can’t either, and long for some realism slung over your shoulders, you’re in luck. Aldebaran90 has created a mod that allows you to equip a wearable backpack as an item.

The creator describes the mod as “a simple mod that adds a wearable backpack to the game, ‘Travel Backpack’. If anything, it’s crudely made. I’m no professional modder, I could do armor mash-ups in Skyrim, but this is new. And this acts only as a temporary consolation, until an amazing modeler/modder in shining rainbow armor riding a multi-colored unicorn makes completely custom made backpacks *whistles.”

Originally, the mod’s meshes and textures have been taken from the vanilla armor textures for “Traveling Leather Coat.”  Now, however the backpack uses its own independent textures. There are two separate tpyes of backpacks that use biped slot 51 (the wedding ring) and slot 50 (bandana).

It should be noted that this mod increases carrying capacity by 50 pounds. If you enjoyed this one, you should check out ten other great mods that the community has put out so far.
