Rabbids Get Own TV Show On Nickelodeon

October 6, 2011 by Mat Growcott

“When I was a lad, all we had was Hey Arnold!”

Ubisoft have announced that their evil little Rayman spin-offs, the Rabbids, are to be given their own TV show on Nickelodeon. Nick have secured the global rights to all 26 episodes of the show, each of which will be around 30 minutes long. It's planned for 2013 and is bound to be a huge success – oh, lord.

"Ubisoft Motion Pictures,” says the press release, “will work with Ubisoft’s French studios to create a television series every bit as hilarious, unexpected and preposterous as the Rabbids games that fans already know and love."

While we know very little about the series now – obviously it’s very early in production – I think it’s safe to assume it’ll propel the series towards a brand new audience, which I suppose isn’t an entirely bad thing; that new audience may do a little research and discover Rayman.

I guess it’s true what Hugh Laurie says in Stewart Little, every cloud really does have a silver lining.
