Sony is working on an official Remote Play app for PC and Mac.
The company's Shuhei Yoshida said, "indeed working on an official [Remote Play] application for PC/Mac."
Remote Play functionality already runs on PS Vita and the technology's been there since the PS3/PSP days but this takes things a step further, opening up possibilities beyond the traditional PlayStation ecosystem.
Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. 😀

News of the app comes mere days after an unofficial Remote Play app for PC launched. The creator of the unofficial app had been working on and off for more than a year and intended to charge $10 for usage. i
Yoshida has not provided a date for when the functionality will role out.
