Batman Arkham Knight Developer Rocksteady Hiring For Unreal Engine 4

November 25, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

This news stands in the shadow of the final fate of Batman Arkham Knight for PC.

Rocksteady seems ready to move on from Batman Arkham Knight, as new job openings have appeared for the studio.

The job openings are for a new Senior VFX Artist, Senior Engine Programmer (Optimisation), Senior Engine Programmer (Core Engine), and Senior Engine Programmer (Rendering).

All job descriptions make reference to Unreal Engine 4, especially the Senior VFX Artist post. All evidence points to Rocksteady working on a new project. This new project seems to require a shift from Unreal 3 to Unreal 4.

So, how does this make you feel? Batman Arkham Knight’s final state on Windows is certainly a disappointment, that has seriously tarnished Rocksteady’s reputation. If Unreal Engine 3 was what held them back from making solid ports across the board, this shift would hopefully ensure that would not happen again.

Would you trust Rocksteady In their next game? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
