Star Wars Battlefront’s Season Pass Offers 16 Maps, Four Heroes, Extra Star Cards

November 16, 2015 by Stephen Daly

And it’ll cost you $50.

EA has confirmed the first details of Star Wars Battlefront's $50 season pass, which offers buyers extra maps, heroes, star cards, and more.

Players will have access to 16 additional maps, four new heroes, four extra modes, and 20 exclusive pieces of gear including star cards.

The list of maps and the playable modes on each is as follows:

  • Forest Moon of Endor (Large – Supremacy, Walker Assault)
  • Swamp Crash Site – Endor (Small – Drop Zone, Droid Run, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Imperial Station – Endor (Small – Cargo, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Outpost Beta – Hoth (Large – Supremacy, Walker Assault, Fighter Squadron)
  • Ice Caves – Hoth (Small – Drop Zone, Droid Run, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Rebel Base – Hoth (Cargo, Droid Run, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Sorosuub Centroplex – Sullust (Large – Supremacy, Walker Assault, Fighter Squadron)
  • Imperial Hanger – Sullust (Small – Cargo, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Sulfur Fields – Sullust (Small – Droid Run, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Jundland Wastes – Tatooine (Large – Supremacy, Walker Assault, Fighter Squadron)
  • Jawa Refuge – Tatooine (Small – Drop Zone, Fighter Squadron, Droid Run, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Rebel Depot – Tatooine (Small – Drop Zone, Cargo, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)
  • Dune Sea Exchange – Tatooine (Small – Drop Zone, Droid Run, Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, Blast)

Presumably EA will announce more news about the three remaining maps in future. It's notable that only four of the maps are large, which puts you at a disadvantage if you prefer that kind of game environment.

It's not really clear at this point how justifiable spending $50 in addition to the price of the game is given what we know.

Star Wars Battlefront launches tomorrow in North America and on Thursday in Europe for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

What do you think of DICE's efforts this time?
