Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will release in the United States on August 19th. Many other regions will be getting a release either just before or just after that, so the release spread will be near simultaneous. The full list of dates can be found in the Tweet above.
The film is proving to be the resurrection of Dragon Ball that fans have been wanting. As the teaser shows, this movie follows Gohan and Piccolo teaming up to save Pan from the returning Red Ribbon Army and their forces.
Here is the full synopsis of the movie:
“The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves “Super Heroes”. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!”
