Closing out today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that Final Fantasy 7 protagonist Cloud will be coming to Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Footage from the Nintendo Direct announcement (see below) shows Cloud duking it out with fellow Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS characters like Charizard, Samus, Kirby, and more. In the footage, Cloud speaks Japanese. It was not made clear if this would be the case for all versions of the game regardless of region or if the footage was off the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.
While no release date was given for the DLC character, Nintendo teased a Super Smash Bros.-centric Nintendo Direct coming Dec. 2015.
