What Platforms Will Resident Evil 4 Remake Launch On?

June 13, 2022 by Chirag Pattni

Resident Evil 4 is coming to a range of consoles that can support it.

Resident Evil 4 is a much-anticipated remake of the beloved Capcom survival-horror game. The Japanese developer has been on a hot streak of developing remakes of earlier titles in the Resident Evil series, so it was inevitable that it would eventually reach this fan-favorite entry.

There are high expectations for this game, and many fans are curious about what Capcom will decide to leave in, what it will decide to cut out, and what it might reimagine. Another thing that fans may want to know is where they can play the game, and if it is coming to their preferred platform.

What platforms will Resident Evil 4 remake launch on?

Resident Evil was originally a series that found its home on consoles like the PlayStation and Nintendo 64. Capcom has not been shy about porting the series to as many platforms as it can. As a result of that, most of the Resident Evil series is available to play on a large variety of consoles.

This remains true for the remake of Resident Evil 4. It will be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. As of this moment, it appears that Capcom is not bringing the game to last-gen consoles as it likely wants to prioritize the high-fidelity graphics possible with next-gen hardware and PC.

For players that plan to get the game on PS5, Resident Evil 4 will also feature PlayStation VR2 content. However, Capcom has not revealed what this content will be just yet.
